The new semester has begun and we are busy, busy, and busy.  “The Amazing Cheesy Alfredo “is back for its third straight year performing at the elementary schools.  We kicked off this year’s performance at Hedrick Elementary School.  We had a wonderful time performing for the students there.  The kids were incredible receptive and asked wonderful questions of our actors. We wish to thank has to go out to Faculty and staff of Hedrick Elementary form allowing us to perform.  A special thank also goes out to our brace volunteers Asia Brown and Ms Jonkers.  Here are some of the pictures from the show:

Merry Christmas

As we reach the ending of the second nine weeks, our theatre department would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

This year has been fantastic and we hope everyone this upcoming year will we as great!

LHS Drama Dept, Maria Diaz, Jeff Winkler

LHS had the honor of hosting 147 Central Elementary 3rd graders as they performed their musical Go West.  The audience loved the show and cheered them on with a standing ovation. The 3rd graders of Central should be proud of their performance.  They did a marvelous job of entertaining all that attended.

Afterwards the students spent the morning in the auditorium going through different learning stations.  These stations were taught by high school technical theatre class. The students learned about what goes into making a play such as the sound board, light board, and proper audience participation.  They got to run the spotlight and talk on the communication system.

Overall it was a very successful day. LHS looks forward to having them back again.

Homeward Bound

Well it is finally over.  We are on our way home.  I'm writing this from the bus. Believe it or not but it is actually relatively quiet here on the bus.  The kids have wore themselves out.  We should be getting home around 6 am.

Thanks again for the support from the booster club and parents of our students.  Thanks to you we have a great bunch of kids.

Alrighty. Improv. My first class so far. Its GREAT!!! i loved the group activities and meeting even more new people. We played a game where you take two chairs and come up with as many things it could be! AH! love theater! Only so many hours left and corpus christi and im dreading when i have to say bye to this lovely experience. I've learned SO much and have been so inspired by the free spirited vibe of this convention.

Much love and thanks to those who have allowed LHS to participate in ITS.
love you and miss you mom and dad!!
